Great House Farm Holiday Cottages

Having just returned from a 3 night stay at the cottage our only complaint is that we didnt book for longer. The cottage is within idyllic countryside which is a nature lovers paradise. Megan and Paul clearly put their heart and soul into caring for their land and we were free to wander around the ponds brimming with wildlife and the fields often with a deer or two happily eating the grass. The cottage was perfect for the sunny weather that we had during our stay- the outside patio area was a wonderful place to start and end our day. We enjoyed seeing the deer jumping past whilst eating our breakfast. The cottage itself was compact yet comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable, the shower hot and kitchen area had everything we needed to make the all important holiday cooked breakfast. The location suited us perfectly too- surrounded by beautiful countryside but only a walk away from villages with nice pubs and a short drive away from some lovely towns. Megan and Paul were great hosts- friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were able to see inside the barn, which is next to the cottage and weve already booked this for a stay this winter. It looks the perfect winter retreat with its fire and larger inside living area and we cant wait to come back. Thank you again Megan and Paul. We cant wait to come back! Joe and Sarah

Spent my birthday weekend there last week and had a wonderful stay. Both sets of accommodation are beautifully decorated and we had the most amazing nights sleep. The hosts are fantastic, kind and very helpful with great ideas on how we could make the most of our stay. We woke up to snow our first morning and it was so picturesque - the views are stunning in all weather. I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed 3 nights in the cottage and I'm just sad we didn't stay longer! We will definitely be back next year. The location is remote and private, yet only a short drive to some beautiful little towns and villages. There's plenty of good walks around and tons on information in the cottage on what to do and where to go. The cottage is absolutely stunning. I don't think the pictures do it justice. Beautifully decorated, super clean and super cosy. Warm and we'll equipped with anything you might need. It also has possibly the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Hosts were fantastic. Warm, friendly, and super quick to respond if anything was needed. Really pleased we found this absolute gem. Have already told all of my friends to book immediately.
