Typhoon

Very able staff. My daughter has gained confidence, loves the water and now has started swimming. Would recommend. Pat is very good in explaining things to the children.

My two children have recently attended a weeks crash course at Lucton. My daughter aged 6, has improved massively, especially in her front crawl where she is now breathing on her side rather than her back! My son aged 12 has been improving his techniques. Both instructors were great, good communication to my children during the lesson and to me in feedback everyday. My children love being in the water and thoroughly enjoy swimming lessons! They want more! Thank you very much, its been amazing and we have really liked being back swimming since lockdown! Well done to the instructors who now work with PPE, very professional.

My daughter learnt to swim with Typhoon, she started when she was 1 and she's now 11 and swims with the Typhoon club and has just recently swam at County Championships. Classes start with you in the water with your little one and also the teacher, eventually they progress to be in the water without you. There are never more than 4 pupils per class and the Typhoon instructors are very much focused on safety first and foremost. Over the years my daughter has had almost all the teachers and they are all very very good at what they do, they all know how to work with children, how to engage them, motivate and get the very best out of the time they have. After every class you get feedback from the instructor on how they are progressing, what they are working on and where they have done well. I also sign my daughter up for the crash courses during the holidays as these are a welcome boost to push forward a little faster. They are ideal for overcoming any obstacles you have in the water and brilliant at building confidence. Cannot recommend Typhoon highly enough!! Just sign up!

My 6 year old son has just completed a one week crash swimming course with Typhoon at Lucton and has absolutely loved it! He's gone from being a total non-swimmer, unsure about even being splashed in the face with water to confidently dunking under, floating on his back, swimming almost a width on his back unaided and attempting front crawl and back crawl. Today he accidentally dropped a rubber ring in and voluntarily went down to get it - not once but twice (second one may have been less of an accident). The instructors are kind, great with the children and give excellent feedback to both children and parents. They clearly have great structure and strategy to get children swimming well unaided from the start. Highly recommended and we'll be back next school holiday for another intensive week.
