Lake District Bikes

We hired four ebikes from John and had a fab time. The bikes were great and sized to suit each of the party. John gave a good explanation of how to operate the bikes and then set each one up individually. He suggested an appropriate ride for us which was perfect. Up the side of Coniston, over Hawkshead Hill, across to Wray Castle, down the side of Windermere and then back over to Lowick Bridge. This took in some spectacular views, challenging climbs and relaxing sections that were relatively flat. The bikes were superb and made it possible even for us to cope easily with the gradients. We all loved the experience and highly recommend it.

John and his daughter were amazing people when we arrived she was nothing but kind showed us how to use the electric bikes and it was quick and easy - even went as far to give us 3 maps of the lakes with the best spots to go for cycling routes and best cafe's and pubs to go to if your looking to hire a bike in the Lake District look no further honestly. If your not going to Lake District Bikes for your bike hire your doing something wrong :)

Cant sing this outfitters praises enough! We were quite painful because originally wanted to include a childs bike but then our daughter wasnt confident enough. We got fitted out with a trailer buggy and e-bike at the last minute without being made to feel horrible. The bikes were in top condition, very well maintained and the service was EXCELLENT! Great place to start from as well, at the quieter end of Coniston lake. Thanks a million for a brilliant experience! We loved every minute of it! Wed never go anywhere else for a bike. :)

John could not have been more helpful. The bikes were top of the range and were well maintained and worked well. We cycled the Cumbrian Coast Barrow to Silloth over three days and John's advice and input was invaluable. Would highly recommend Lake District Bikes to anyone visiting the National Park. And thank you for the pork pies !!

John provided not only excellent bikes but also excellent service. We spent three days riding north along the coast and it was magical, staying in paces like Ravenglass, Silloth. The bikes performed perfectly. One puncture, but John was able to solve it. I wholeheartedly recommend Lake District Bikes
