Purchased new polo march 2020, returned after few weeks as air conditioning not working, they kept it for a day and said nothing wrong. When weather got hotter few months later took it back again as still not working and surprise surprise was told it was not connected underneath, how was that missed???? When had service, which I paid for in advance, looked under bonnet few weeks later and found caps lying in the well at back. Went back and was told they were off the air conditioning, they just screwed them on and walked away , no explanation or apology, it was if I was a nuisance. Im no mechanic but I take them to be dust caps, I had driven to London and back after the service so if any dust or particles got in and did damage for the future its obviously down to me. I have now received a card telling me I need a 4 wheel drive oil change , again Im no expert but didnt know any Polos were??? Nothing to do with the garage but after settling the finance on the car on 25/10/22 received statement month later saying sill owed 498.22 , when rang them they said thats the yearly statement, so a month after settlement the yearly statement says I owe 498.22 ?????? Obviously wont be getting any more Volkswagens

Group 1 Lowestoft have polite staff, but trying talk to the parts dept is next to Impossible? Absolutely no chance of getting them on the phone, it just reverts to the reception who then try the same phone to tell you what you already know, there is nobody available, but Ill get them to call you back, which of course does not happen. Okay, that doesnt work, lets call in physically to reception, and enquire to see if the brake part I require is in stock. Reception directs me to the waiting area, a parts rep will come and see me, 20 mins later a lad arrives, goes to check, but not in stock. Its not so much the lack of stock for what is a generic part (Tiguan rear brake ABS sensor) but a wee bit like pulling teeth to obtain parts service. I get the impression parts supply to the public is not a priority? Now, Im going to change my Tiguan for a AUDI Q5, but why would I go to Group 1 for servicing when they dont stock basic generic parts. Before I forget, over the past week Ive twice been informed the lack of parts service is due to staff doing stock checks?? Thats a long stock check??

Dreadful customer experience. The day before delivery they found that the Touareg had engine issues so cancelled. Just go to another dealer who has customer service at their heart. Dont waste your time with this dealership
