I am head trainer at Lowestoft dog training society we have put on a few dogs display and the staff have always made us and the dogs very very welcome and the residents have been informed we are coming and brought to see the display. They look very happy and well looked after. Nice atmosphere you feel it as you go in

Attended the first fund raising event since covid in Broadlands lovely gardens. I can not praise Broadlands enough! The staff are fantastic. They treat the residents with so much care and attention and genuine affection. It really is like extended family. The food supplied was plentiful and extremely good standard, entertainment was professional and appropriate and the weather and overall atmosphere perfect. The amount of hard work that went into making this such a success is to be commended. Well done to all those involved. Ime sure it really is appreciated by all the residents and their families.

My mother was made by other family members to go here. My brother took great care of her at home for years with little help from them. I went to relieve him once for nearly one week. Hard work to say the least due to care from 7.30am to bedtime as she wished. Unless you did this yourself for at least a few days then you cant begin to know how much was involved. But my brother did an exemplary job with only critisism from the other 3. Still they put her here with dementia too which they didnt cater for. A little room with no familiar things. Left alone she didnt do anything. No charts for hydration or food intake. Personal care by men too! Always had uti. Lost interest soon.never watched television as not understood remote. Had many vacant episodes they said but only told the sister who with her husband took power of attorney behind our backs before it was too late to change it. No telephone in her room so no privacy. Into the 5th week there she was dead. As my brother and i thought she would be. The home wouldnt talk to us. Refused. Said we had to go through the brother in law as executor too somehow. We were excluded from all after. Never spoken to by Broadlands staff or management. So no. We were never happy. As the manager said they were a care home then anyway. Only residential. Why did they say they wanted her then? 2017. September. Its a care home now but wasnt then. Mum was so severely dehydrated once at hospital but heart attacks took her life before they had a chance to get fluids in. How long without drinking? Staff didnt have a clue.

My Granddad Lived here for a few years. I would highly recommend this care home. Lovely staff who genuinely care about the residents living there. Always felt welcomed and comfortable here. They have many activities for the residents. Beautifully positioned just off the river with a lovely garden to walk around. Keep up the good work!

My Mum spent several months at Broadlands. The care she was given and the respect she was showed was first class. The people at Broadlands are amazing and I will always be grateful to them, for the help they gave my mum and our family.
