Doctor sent me a sick note via email so had to go down to surgery to get it printed. It wasnt til i got home and realised that they'd printed off the old one. When i went back to surgery i got a half hearted sorry. I suffer from anxiety and depression, im sure that this episode today hasnt improved my mental health at all !

Intense interrogation of symptoms from the Gestapoesque receptionists, none of which is ever relayed to the Doctor, that's if you can get an appointment after non-medically trained receptionists have evaluated you. Made to feel violated having to reveal personal information to persons who have no qualification or licence to lose and to be frank could well be working in a factory or supermarket the following week, laughing at the things they used to deal with and discussing people's symptoms with their family and friends with no repercussions if they no longer work there. Then the Doctor, who is usually a locum, who doesn't care as not there tomorrow, has not reviewed your notes or history and hasn't read your symptoms from reception, talks over you, doesn't listen to you and then gives a pathetic, useless course of action that's as if this is the first time you've approached a Doctor with these symptoms. Overall a God awful Doctors that anyone who wants to live or be well should avoid.

I have been with this surgery for over 20 years, and it is going downhill fast. Today's issue was an appointment canceled 1 hour after the appointment time, and then re-arranged at an impossible time on the first day of work in the new year. When I rang up to change it the receptionist was off-hand almost to the point of being rude, acting as if I should change my work requirements to make the re-arranged appointment (do remember they canceled after the appointment time). Another recent experience has been trying to get an appointment when I had the flu and the guardian of the gate (receptionist) refusing, I then had to use a private GP who prescribed medicine to help with my asthma. So impossible to get an appointment when you are ill, but when they require you to have an appointment then they will make the appointment, then cancel it with no explanation and then remake it to suit them.
