Stables Chippy

Absolutely awful food. Chips are frozen oven chips and the fish is just a lump of greasy mush. Bloody expensive too for non-fresh food. Order was incorrect and staff attitude wasnt overly friendly. Thought Id keep my custom local as I only live a couple of miles away. But there is no way Ill be returning. Terrible......

Holidaying in the local area and of course fancied fish and chips. An order of cod and chips, kids scampi and chips,kids burger and chips, small chips and curry sauce took almost 40 minutes to cook when told about 10. The kids burger was rock solid, the curry sauce cold and the scampi just grease balls with a tiny bit of scampi in the middle. The cod had hot and cold bits inside the batter. Definitely won't be returning and will find an alternative in future

This is the best chippy. All cooked to perfection, friendly and helpful. Must try their Sunday roast lunch.
