My following opinion of Amari Care is based solely on my experiences of dealing with them for the care of my Mother, and my opinion is that this is a poorly run care service. The care received from the individual carers varied dependant upon the motivation of the person who was giving the care. Some were good, some were bad, most were somewhere in the middle. However the way the management of the carers was dealt with left a lot to be desired. Most of the time when I rang I formed the impression that I was a nuisance, and quite often what I asked to be done never happened. In addition there was one carer in particular that Mum did not like, and I was constantly requesting this carer was not put on Mums roster. He would be taken off for a while, and then put back on again. I was in the process of changing to another care service when Mum passed away, and Amari Care didnt even have the courtesy to ring with their condolences. I do NOT recommend this care service.

Amari care service is the only care agency I have worked for and so I cant compare with other companies. But on the whole its a good company to work for, if you do wrong then they do call you in and talk to you about it Or if you have any issues then you can express them. Lack of Hours can sometimes be an issue when clients go in hospital or sadly pass away which cant be helped. I would say 99% of clients I have had dealings with do appreciate the care I deliver sometimes there may be some kind of animosity towards us but thats expected cant please everyone. Thats why its nice to know the management do listen and wont supply carers to clients who the client does not like. Or the carer to the client if the client is rude to that one person. I have had my share of good days as well as bad Learning the past from the clients getting to know them as a person and listening to the stories. And it is very upsetting when someone you care for passes away. But then you have the joy of seeing them smile when they receive a card from you for birthday or Christmas as dont really get many anymore. I have worked in various other companies doing various tasks and even middle management so from personal experience at Amari your treated more like a person and not as a number. Sometimes you might think some negative stuff if you have been told off but this is the same anywhere you go. But when you have done a good job and the clients do inform the management they do let you know also. How ever a client is more likely to report negative stuff than positive so it can be rare to get praise. But if you have not been chastised then you know you must be doing good. Being male is more of a hindrance as I will get less hours than a female of the same calibre but they have tried to find clients I can go to so it can build my hours up to be on par with my female counterparts.
