Having had a brief experience of working for this company as a Carpenter,I feel the need to express my concerns,they have not one operative that have ever worked anywhere else,apart from this firm,there are no qualified,builders,carpenters,bricklayers, plumbers,they get given specs but don't follow them ,'as they know better',please be aware!

Had a amall extention build and highly recommended Amwell construction,friendly and polite and the work is excellent nearly always have a smile on their faces and some can sing reasonably well also. Overall completely satisfied with the work they carried out.

I have just had my bathroom turned into a wet room suitable for my disability. I expected disruption and was also concerned as myself and small dog were in one room. The chairman's son came to start and he really kept it to a minimum cleaned and tidied away each day. Most importantly he remembered to keep front door shut just in case my dog got out. He showed utmost respect to the fact we were still living here . He worked incredibly hard and long days and no long tea breaks. His work was of great quality and coming up against some problems along the way were just sorted. I very happy with my wet room and would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone.

I am a disabled pensioner who was extended a Government funded Home Improvement Grant to adapt my bathroom and provide me with a level access shower to support my disability and assist me in remaining in my own home. My Landlord insist that tenants use their appointed Contractor. The toilet fitted does not meet my needs ... there is no grab bar to assist me in standing ... and Amwell staff have cut up my landing floor and the floor of my linen cupboard causing extensive damage. Their plumber who is also the son of the Company Director and brother of the Contract Manager has just charged out of my house having told me that the flooring was damaged when they initially attended. This is not true and would take no responsibility for the damage done. When informed that I was taking this further as I find it reprehensible that he stood and lied about me and to me in my own home and had taken advantage of a disabled pensioner ... he informed me in no uncertain terms to complain as they would be paid to come back and fix it anyway. No they won't! There are a number of outstanding issues with the work I have to say that the Decorator ... Mark ... has been extremely kind and supportive and made a fabulous job of the area in which has worked ... I would give Mark five stars ... but the company zero ... ergo there is one star as it is the only way I can comment and post ... recommend this Company ... not to anyone
