        Don't know about now but the A1 was the same name when we lived there over 60 years ago, and my Mum worked there, first for Harry and then for Flossy and Bill. Then it was very much a transport cafe for lorry drivers and the like, but the standards were kept very high. The fact that the same name has been kept for all these years suggests that the cafe's reputation was always been respected by locals and visitors.
