        As a regular visitor to Hales I cant recommend their ice cream highly enough! Excellent service. Run by a lovely friendly lady who even knows what Im going to order

        Popped in to buy some handmade Fudge, what a wonderful store with lots of lovely gifts and essential items for purchase (fudge! Ha). Very welcoming owner who was nice enough to chat with me - I was rather mesmerised by the village as its so beautiful!!! Would highly recommend a visit.

        Lovely friendly shop in beautiful Cartmel, sat outside and enjoyed a delicious ice cream... Betty the cockapoo loved her doggy version complete with biscuit

        Awful customer service, would leave a no star review if I could. Wanted a single ice cream at 3.85 but have a strict minimum card spend policy. Woman refused to discuss and didnt care, even though I had a now upset child with me. Card payments are at 1-2% of total now so no reason for a minimum spend other than being greedy. I never carry cash now. Went across the road to the sandwich shop, sold exactly the same lakes ice cream for 3 and took card with a smile. Avoid from now on.
