Just ordered a rissoto here. Unfortunately it was basically inedible (texture off, no seasoning at all, old hard mushrooms).We fed this back to the waitress and asked for a partial refund (although really it should have been full refund given that none of us could eat it and my partner ended up having to share his meal with me) , which we did not receive. For this reason, despite the other meals being nice, its 1 star from me. Poor service. Very basic to give a refund for food that is not okay, or at least offering some form of compensation. As some one who has worked in hospitality forever, for me, it was not on. Update - we are now feeling ill

The new owners have turned this from a good pub to a GREAT pub! The food is varied, fantastic quality, presented beautifully and served with pride. The drinks again are of a good selection and good quality - the ciders and wine are great. Make the effort and go - wish we'd gone sooner and we'll definitely be back. Thank you!
