Thank you for doing a brilliant job on my house! Mark is very professional, charged a fair price and answered all my queries promptly. Ian performed the membrane and plastering work - he was friendly, efficient and the new plastering looks great. The new walls look even better now decorated. I definitely recommend Heritage Preservation.

My review is not about the quality of their work but more about the service leading up to an inspection. I was told there was a a call out fee of 60 if no work was needed following the inspection, which was the case. I was then surprised to get an invoice for 72 as I was not initially told about the VAT being on top. I obviously felt that this was misleading and not being completely transparent. I have since found other companies who do not have a call out fee in ANY case. Oh, and this was after cancelling the first appointment 30 minutes after it was support to start.

We have an old cottage, built around 1800 in a central village location that was suffering from damp in a ground floor snug/bedroom. We started to peel the wood panelling back revealing modern damp proofing to tank the room and then finding roots coming in from next doors garden the first of many, many bodges from the previous owner (an ex builder!). As such we got several companies in to recommend & implement a solution around Sept / Oct 2015. We went with Heritage as their solution of using a breathable membrane made more sense having now read up on old houses and damp issues a little so work began to strip the room, add the membrane and then re-plaster. Everything was done well, quickly and to a really good standard and all mess cleared etc. We had to call them back after we noticed some spotting again but in the end after a quick visit to assess they confirmed it was just some salts etc coming through as the walls were breathing and drying out properly as designed when built for the first time in years. Since then we have had no issues and followed all recommendations when having to drill holes etc that may pierce the membrane. Id certainly recommend Heritage to others as they offered a range of options but provided a recommendation and the positives and negatives of each. They clearly cared about their work and even when the scope of the work expanded slightly it was no problem for them to add this in and we're now left to live in a much better property with their help without the worry of damp due to their help. --------- This review is part of a string of factual and fair reviews Im now leaving for those who we've had help on our house over the last 2 years since moving in finally having some free time to write something up. Im trying to provide the same kind of comment as I would speaking to family/friends/colleagues.
