Teddy Bear Club on Wednesday morning is a lovely safe play and learning experience for under 5,s. Lots of activities, good snack options for children and tea/coffee and biscuits for adults. Good price at 2 first child and 1 for each sibling. Sam, who runs it is brilliant engaging and friendly, A safe warm place where I love taking my granddaughter who is six months.

Parish church built 1832, listed grade II, thought to be by William Ramshaw (an owner of an engineering works in nearby Bishop Auckland) for Bishop van Mildert; restored & chancel rebuilt, 1866-7 by John Ross FRIBA (1836-1895) architect of Darlington. Not open each day, so I couldnt see inside. Street parking outside the churchyard gates. In the churchyard, trees from 1887 & a war memorial that is also listed grade II.
