Great vets, we are returning customers after a 5 year break. Vet listened to our dogs ailment and supplied the expected remedy. Nice to be back.

Young Andrew is the nicest vet I have ever met; the compassion and kindness he showed to me and my pet was amazing. Highly recommend!

My old Terrier, Bob was given a general examination and his ear irritation was investigated by the vet, Andrea. The examination and swabs were carried out very efficiently and with little distress to Bob. We had swabs tested while we waited and were prescribed appropriate treatment. Andrea gave very clear and concise instructions and a cost breakdown .. the bill seemed very reasonable . I'd certainly recommend James St Veterinary practice ..

Will not be returning, it is a stressful and dangerous environment, the stress the staff and the 'professionals' are under is like a tinderbox waiting to go off. It is a really worrying time taking your animal you care about to the vets and it is always made worse by the rushed, stressed and short care received. Last week I had to take in my animal to see an exotic vet (guinea pig!) None were available until the end of the week so I was booked into a female vet who i was told knew about guinea pigs, I arrived 5 mins early and joined the cue to be checked in, 10 mins later they went to check me in and had made the appointment under the wrong name so had to cancel it and then redo it. I waited and waited then another vet came out and and called me in, he had absolutely no idea what or how to deal with the issue, so sent me off with pain relief and antibiotic. I then stood waiting at the desk for him to put the bill through and to get the meds, in total i was there over an hour, when speaking to the receptionist about how dissatisfied i was she told me the female vet had refused to see me because i was late!! She said she tried to explain to her about the booking in but she wasn't interested and said i would have to see someone else. She told me how everyone was under extreme stress there and it was to do with so many appointments and a new computer system making things slow. The vet finally came out and i asked him what the antibiotics were to treat and he said he didn't know but to come back in a week if she is not better. I then asked him should she not have the pre/pro biotic to help protect her stomach from the antibiotics which is a standard practise with guinea pigs and he said no her gut is fine i listened to it. (His english was poor and i don't think he really understood). I then had to pay 45 for the consultation before the meds price for 5 mins with someone who knew less than i do about guinea pigs. After i left i consulted another vet and received the pro/pre biotics which was incredibly important for her care. I travel for an hour to see an exotic vet instead of taking them to my normal one to get a worse treatment each time so no more. I WOULD NEVER USE THESE VETS AGAIN.
