Not heavenly! My parents recently stayed at here and unfortunately they had a very negative experience. Upon arrival it was immediately evident that the main property which the accommodation is directly adjoined to, was undergoing major renovation works as there were building materials outside of the main house as well as trade vans. On the first morning of their stay they were woken up at 07:30 by a contractors van parked directly outside their bedroom with the engine running and radio on. Throughout the entire stay, work was carried out on the property from 07:30 until the workmen left early evening, with other work then being carried out late into the evening. This included constant hammering, drilling and what sounded like tile cutting. In addition to this, there were often work vans and building supplies coming and going throughout the day. In order to escape the building site my parents had to go out daily to get a break from the noise. My parents booked and paid full price for their stay a couple of months before their arrival and at no point were they informed that there would be building work. Had they known they would not have booked this accommodation. In the 5 days of their stay, foundations had been dug for a huge extension. When they left they gave feedback stating that they would never stay here again and the owner admitted that they had forgotten to let them know about the building work and that they would offer a small discount if my parents booked to stay again. However given that my parents had already told them that they would not be returning, this was an empty gesture. I am appalled at the way that my parents were treated and taken advantage of as my father is disabled and they are both retired.
