Even though we didn't use Dreton due to location, James was extremely helpful. James was happy to answer any questions and provide direction when looking at getting a kitchen extension. I would 100% use Dreton if they offered their services in our area. Very knowledgeable and patient!

Where shall I start from! The professionalism, craftsmen-ship, time keeping, attention to detail and customer service... all these things which us customers demand from builders, were on point. Dreton team turned our tiny shed kitchen into a head turner palace. If you decide to go ahead with James company (Dreton) then you wont be disappointed. Him and his team are really good at doing there job and will go that extra mile to give there customers that peace of mind. Highly recommended trades people. Thanks Dreton team.

Dreton were excellent in delivering the quality required and on time. Ben was a great project manager and James was always available on phone and email and usually responded immediately to any queries. We were also provided with great advise by James and Ben. I definately recommend Dreton extensions. My family are very pleased our extension. We have recommended Dreton to friends and anyone that requires a quality home extension.

We had seen Dreton's work on a neighbour's property and were impressed by the finish, so we asked James to quote for us on a project to extend our kitchen and reorganise our ground floor. Right from the start I was reassured by the fact that James came across as (and I mean this in the best possible way) as a 'building nerd': he clearly loves these Victorian houses and doing sensitive renovations, and that eye for detail was something that really mattered to us as well. James is also extremely knowledgeable about the area (Waltham Forest, in our case) and after reviewing the original structural engineer's analysis was able to confirm from historical records that we didn't actually need the deep pylons originally spec'd for the project because of some underpinning work 20 years ago. As one family member of mine who's a retired large projects civil engineer put it: "That's a good spot." So right off the bat, he had saved us 15k, and that was on top of an overall quote we already found to be really reasonable as well! Ben and his team were also easy to work with and built to a very high standard: the quality of the brickwork and overall finish is obvious, especially since our neighbours basically copied the exterior design but used budget builders. The difference is rather noticeable. We were living upstairs the entire time and the team were sensitive to this. And through it all (and this was in the period of lockdowns leading up to and through the initial supply-chain crunch) James and Ben were good at keeping us updated on the sourcing challenges and what they were doing to try to address this. They also referred us to excellent tradespeople for finishing work such as tiling: people who took pride in their work and I really appreciated the lengths they went to to make a house in which there are no straight angles 'work' visually rather than just bunging things down from one edge and hoping for the best. Only two suggestions for new clients: 1. I think the original schedule was optimistic, and would mentally add 4-6 weeks to an estimate in the future, but I believe optimism is fairly standard in the building trade and it's essentially impossible to disentangle the circumstances (Covid and supply chains) from the time the project took to completion. 2. Ben and James have excellent practical knowledge of 'what works'--I'd encourage you to ask them to flag things that are unclear or impractical in an architect's drawings as soon as possible and to also ask if they think anything is missing (e.g. eco-features that are impossible to add later): we far prefer their solution to the roofline 'issue' and would have welcomed their thoughts earlier in the process since that would have resolved the supply chain car crash sooner! So a strong recommendation from us, and the follow-through has been excellent as well: we recently had what seemed to be a leak at the junction between the house and the new roof. We assumed it was related to the extreme heat causing the lead to open up a gap. James was over the next day to check it out and traced the problem (rather embarrassingly for us) to a balloon that had backed up the box gutter. So this really felt to us like he was standing by his 'product' and I think that's another point in their favour. Service: Home extension services

The Dreton team were a god-send after taking over from another builder who was originally hired to build a loft conversion and rear extension. The original builder left the project in the middle of winter with a back wall missing after running over schedule, over budget and had caused more issues than he had fixed on our mid-terrace 1930s home. James and the Dreton team's professionalism, expertise, attention to detail and sheer positive attitude was a breath of fresh air for my partner and I. I can honestly say these guys are absolutely professionals, and will not let you down! They worked with us to finish the rear extension, finish the rest of the house, and make sure everything was following building regulations. They were flexible, accommodating, and transformed what was an unbelievably stressful experience into a joy, as we loved seeing them everyday. A huge benefit of working with James was his unbelievably great network of contacts. He was able to recommend a high quality tradesman for anything else we were looking to get done and work with them to coordinate efforts (ie. notably landscaping the front and back garden). I could not recommend Dreton Home Extensions more! PS: a huge shoutout goes out to Dave from James' team for helping us complete the full renovation. Services: Flooring, Remodeling, Project management, Exterior painting, Tile work installation, Consultation
