Striking off-piste here is is to be captive in a space where your intrusiveness amounts to less than an meaningless irritant. Wandering aimlessly in this indifferent world is both exhilarating and disturbing. The domain of skittish deer, hares, mushroom clumps and a brooding mystique that nudges the collective subconscious. Unreservedly recommended.

Very vast forest which is mostly untouched. You can walk for hours in here but like other reviews have mentioned it's very easy to get lost! It is nice to see the squirrels running around and you can often hear rustling within the trees. Be sure to wear footwear with good grip when visiting as the paths can be steep and uneven / there isn't always a path to follow. You do have to pay for the car parks but free street parking can be found around the edges of the forest.
