There is one word I can put to summise my review; shambles. I had my house valued around 12 months ago via a professional and knowledgable lady who serviced the Loughborough area. Following my valuation I called Hortons at the start of this year to accept their proposal and put my property on the market to which I was advised the same valuer would be taking my images. On the day of the appointment I received a call from a gentleman saying the old valuer was ill so he would be coming to take images instead, but she would be back after to deal with my property and the marketing. After two weeks of very little contact I questioned this and was advised this valuer was off ill on a long term basis. From further research into this I can see the previous valuer has now moved companies last year and hortons did not make me aware of this. As their client I find this highly unprofessional and unethical to which I questioned. This again was ignored, my house has not been posted over any platforms apart from Rightmove when I was promised the world from this supposed new employee. I have had no choice but to move agents who have done far more for my property and the marketing in the first week alone. I would suggest you improve your professionalism and honesty to your clients.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ian Ratcliffe from Hortons to see a property and I must say that he provided an outstanding service. From the beginning of our communication, Ian was professional and very knowledgeable. He took the time to understand what I wanted to achieve and provided excellent advice and guidance throughout the process. I was impressed with his attention to detail and his ability to keep me informed every step of the way. Ian's understanding of the local area was clear from the start and this really helped with the listing. Hortons and the team went above and beyond to ensure we got the best offers possible but also made sure the process was stress free and even enjoyable! I loved the promotion of the property including the social media coverage, videos and photos the team created. This generated so much interest and within just a few days we had plenty of people wanting to book in to view the property with good offers following shortly after! Ian helped me to get the best offers possible, this directly helped with buying my next property, putting me in a stronger position and being able to offer more! I have already recommended Hortons and Ian to several of my friends and I will certainly be using Hortons again in the future! Throughout the entire process I was made to feel valued and more than just another person selling a house. Hortons and especially Ian understand how important this house was to me and what it meant to be able to get the best offer possible. I just wish the property I am buying was being sold via Hortons, the process would be so much easier!

Avoid. Incredibly unprofessional. They are incapable of effective communication with clients. They are incompetent at communicating important details/dates between their own staff. They lose potential buyers because of their unprofessionalism. Their failings cost their clients time and money. They won't make any effort to put things right when they make errors. It just seems to be their usual way of doing business.

Although I didn't buy with Hortons, Fahim did a great job of getting me booked into viewings and sending me details along with following up to see how I got on. Good customer service!

Worst real estate agents in Loughborough. Went for inspection and found out that resident has got covid and got no notification from Horton Loughborough. Again went for same property inspection and found out the timings changed however no communication or notification. Absolutely waste of time and so inconsiderate, unprofessional that leads to cancellation of viewing. Keep your property to yourself
