Just collected my mercedes SL 350 from Paintworx that had suffered the dreaded mercedes red blistering and lacquer peel I have to say I am absolutely shocked at how much work has gone into this car for the very reasonable price, many thanks for an exceptional job the paintwork is stunning I've now booked in for the ceramic coating to belt and brace this job well done fellas

I've never been treated so badly as a customer in my life. I reached out to Paintworx via Instagram for a quote after they were recommended on a popular YouTube channel. I then arrived on the agreed date and Steve looked around my van, we discussed what I wanted doing and then he told me the price. All seemed well at that point and I was very happy. I left the van with him for 2 weeks and at no point during that time did we have contact. I then receive a call 2 weeks later asking me if the work they had done was correct - I notified them that there were several things that I asked for that they hadn't done (politely). I drove over 2 hours to get the work done and took a 3.5 hour train home, so I wasnt exactly a local person messing them around. I then receive a call from Steve who was very angry, threatened to falsify an invoice in order to keep the van and effectively blackmailed me to pick the van up and pay or lose the van. This all escalated really quickly, was incredibly stressful and there was absolutely no reasoning with him. It literally went from no contact at all for 2 weeks to threatening to steal the van if I don't immediately pick it up, just because I said that some of the work I asked to be done hadnt been completed. Having now had a few weeks to reflect on the whole ordeal, Steve never wrote anything down when I dropped the van off and we discussed what needed doing. I assume that he forgot what we discussed, didnt quote me properly and then got angry at me because he made a mistake. Whilst I can't fault the paintwork, the way he treated me and threatened to steal my vehicle means I could not recommend him to anyone. He has lots of good reviews (which lured me in) but there is a very bitter and shady business hiding in the background. Service: Painting
