We have used Darren for 18+ years, he serves our fire and boiler every year and today rescued a pigeon who fell down the chimney. Pigeon alive so all good. Only trust Darren and hes part of our family now as far as Im concerned - he likes brownies best Cannot recommend him highly enough, youre in safe hands so give him a call

I used Darren for a couple of years to service my boiler and fit a gas hob, I suggested him to my friend to service a gas fire, he came over as rude and angry with her suggesting that although his messenger said leave your message it did not take her number, I suggest you upgrade your system and learn some manners towards a female customer ,who is just asking you for help. You have to leave 1 star before you can post this review, I would rather give you none. Have a Merry Xmas you nasty man

Darren has been a godsend with a 5 star service. A dying breed of how good quality traditional tradesmen used to be in the good o'l days who knew their stuff and worked efficiently and with expertise. After having dealt with 2 boiler engineers , the first engineer (who was highly recommended online) attempted to fix my mother's boiler by replacing parts which he only temporarily fixed the problem for a few days. He then came out again and replaced further parts and again this was only a temporary fix. The 3rd time I rang him, he admitted that he didn't know the actual problem and was hoping to replace parts and hoped one of them would fix the problem. After spending almost 150, he failed to come out the 3rd time and stopped answering my calls (- looking at you MK plumber, you should be ashamed! Do not use this MK plumber! ) The 2nd engineer, kept failing to attend appointments he provided (went without hot water and heating for 2 weeks because of his no show!!) and instead he kept asking me to buy 350 non-returnable part but couldn't guarantee that it would fix the problem!! Finally, I rang Darren, explained to him the what the issue was over the phone, Darren advised that it could be various problems and straight away recommended that I contact the manufacturers of the boiler and have them repair it and advised that they could do it at special price if I took their maintenance package out with them. The manufacturers came out and literally replaced every part on the boiler and all for a cost of 300 with 6 months guarantee of the complete boiler. I was so impressed with Darren's honesty that I decided to use him to disconnect a gas cooker which I needed doing urgently. At first Darren told me he couldn't do it at short notice but I explained that I had new kitchen being delivered the following week and really needed the cooker disconnected ASAP. He then said he had the Friday booked off for his wife's birthday but as its urgent he will take an hour out to come disconnect the cooker on his wife's birthday! He went above and beyond my expectations!! Since then, I have used Darren to install a gas hob and repair another boiler on an empty property that hasn't been in use for 2 years and was told by another engineer that the boiler need replacing. But Darren got it working again and also advised it would need replacing sometime in the future. But for the time being it will continue to usable for the foreseeable future. Paid Darren 69 for the repair and saved myself 2k in cost of replacing the boiler. Darren is very upfront about his prices, probably because he's very, very reasonably priced compared to other "engineers". He has decades of experience and is a very honest and down to earth person. I would highly recommend giving Darren a call first (and if he doesn't pick up his phone, he will call you back!) before even trying anyone else!
