10th January 2022 over a year ago was the date we paid our 10% deposit for a kitchen that a year later remains unfinished! Initially we were advised the wait would likely be 4 months i.e work beginning in May 2022. After many delays the work eventually began on the 15th August 2022. With a few issues but all but one major issue being resolved, the major issue being the worksurface on the island unit was identified as bowed by the fitter and ourselves immediately. This issue was taken up with your Branch and has been ongoing ever since! We have chased numerous times over the months all the while being told you are dealing with this issue with the only progress being a visit from two fitters late one evening on the 29th of November 2022 who had been sent by the worksurface manufacturer Sheridans who arrived with a clear agenda to save Sheridans money! Their supposed solution was to sand the work surface flat effectively spreading the problem elsewhere! Communication remained none existent from both the Wickes branch and your complaints department despite us having called and chased numerous times with many promises of either the manager coming to our home to see the issue for himself (which he never did) or that we would receive a call back on or by a certain date (which never happened). Eventually feeling exhausted and thoroughly fed up with the worksurface and the entirely non existent customer service we contacted your branch on approximately the 1st of December and spoke to Alison and advised that we wanted the worksurface removed so that we could source a different surface from a more scrupulous manufacturer, Alison listened to me and said she would speak to whomever and I would receive a call back by Sunday 4th of December (Which never happened)! At this point we decided to wait and see how long it would take Alison or store manager Ben not to mention your customer service team to come back to us. More than a month later we have heard nothing just like every other time we have called and as such we are forced to make this written complaint as clearly no one is listening when we call. The date is now 13th January 2023 a whole year since we paid our deposit the kitchen remains unfinished, The grand Christmas we had planned in our new kitchen came and went with no conclusion and the phone never rings nor does the email bing! Service this poor I have never experienced before! In my experience of your company I expect this review to land on deaf ears.
