This company built a wooden outbuilding for us earlier this year; it had a concrete base and a corrugated-metal roof. We found the members of staff to be generally polite and friendly. There were several delays with the work, which was frustrating. There were several administrative errors, which added to the stress. Structurally, the outbuilding seems sound. The building seems rushed and the resulting product appears rough and imprecise, exhibiting poor attention to detail. There are many examples of this, some of which are described below. The concrete floor is not level, the edges of the damp-proof membrane werent cut to leave it flush with the floor, and there is a hole in one of the corners of the floor. Several pieces of the external wooden cladding were split with nails and screws. Several nails protrude into the interior and one screw protrudes outside. The double doors were hung unevenly. There are gaps in places such as on the window frame and inside the outbuilding, where pieces of wood appear to have been cut too short. One of the roof edgings has been dented as if it were dropped. I was disappointed to see that concrete was splashed on the tarmac drive, on all four sides of the outbuilding. We asked for this to be rectified: one member of staff came and sprayed some of it with a jet washer, but most of it remains. It is unsightly and is proving difficult to remove. I cannot recommend Joe & Charlotte highly enough. Joe created a bespoke bar for our dining room, using Cornish oak. It is exactly what I had hoped for and is a stunning focal point in the room. Charlottes customer service was faultless and I was kept informed at every step of the process - from my vague idea at the begining, right through to Joe installing and giving aftercare advice. Woodworks Cornwall removed an internal wall, replaced wooden windowsills with slate and installed a new slate hearth as well as fitting engineered oak flooring throughout the bottom floor of the house. Joe and Sam are friendly and professional, they work hard and get the job done to a high standard. I am so happy with the finished result, highly recommended. Joe and Sam have carried out extensive works at our property. The tasks they have been asked to carry out include fencing, installation of gates, refurbishment of a stable block, installation of a home bar and lastly the building of a summerhouse. They have shown a high level of skill when working with wood and carried out all tasks in a professional manner.
