West Reservoir Cafe

Visited this cafe 8 months ago and had a cappuccino. I'm a fussy coffee drinker and it wasn't up to scratch. Decided to revisit with a friend and show the view. We moved a couple of chairs from the cafe about 3 meters into the sunshine and was then approached by a brute of a man who was ment to be part of the waiting staff. He started shouting at us for moving the chairs, in a loud and aggressive tone and embarrassed is in front of other people. If that's how they talk to people, nevermind potential customers, I won't be visiting again. Gentlemen in question is in the picture.

Portuguese cafe inside the West Reservoir. Great spot for breakfast or lunch. Stick with the Portuguese dishes. I enjoyed tasty chicken escalopes with homemade piri piri sauce, mixed sauted vegetables and crushed garlic potatoes for 8.50. Good coffee & Portuguese custard tarts too. You can sit outside and watch the lake and they have WiFi too.

Lovely views and pleasant staff. Very poor selection of uninteresting salad Could make , for example, Real grated carrot salad with fresh mint Brown rice with ginger and cashew nuts Brown or puy lentils with chopped tomato and parsley Apple and walnut salad etc. Also could do fresh orange or fresh lemon juice What about hot fresh lemon, ginger and honey drink for cold swimmers. NO IMAGINATION, but such a PERFECT LOCATION
