A few weeks ago i took my car in to have the TPMS sensors changed from one set of wheels to another. During fitting the mechanic broke one, he told me he would let me know when the part was in, so I rebooked it in following his call, with no mention of any additional costs. I had paid for the work, so when I returned to collect it and was given a further bill for 113.00 after already forking out 94.00 I refused to pay as I simply wasnt advised of any further costs being incurred. Simon was rushing out of the door as I was being given the bill, leaving the apprentice to deal with what was a difficult situation. I drove home and the TPMS light came on almost immediately, so he hadnt even done the job properly! Fast forward a couple of days, Simon had been trying to get hold of me at work, but I kept missing his calls, when I did call him back he swore blind he had told me that he had quoted me for the sensor he had broken, which is not true, as I would have sourced the sensor myself, his attitude when I tried to refute him he was completely unreasonable, I maintained i wouldnt pay and told him he would have to take me to court. I was then sent home from work by my boss due to the distressed state I was in. Today I have collected my car from Land Rover where they have replaced the TPMS sensor, and given me the one that was supplied and fitted by Simon at Lift West, he had replaced the previous Land Rover sensor with a cheap aftermarket one, available on eBay for 5.00, yet produced me with a bill for 113.00! I am so glad that I stood my ground, but how dare you hound me, cause me so much stress and attempt to rip me off as you did! It is a matter of principal that I am writing this review so other people can make an informed decision whether to use your garage facilities.
