Cosy Cumbrian Cottage

Fantastic few days away in the Lake district staying at this beautiful little cottage, everything about it was perfect. We would have struggled to get a accomodation this good in a hotel. The place was spotless and a lovely hamper full of goodies was waiting for us on arrival. Big king sized bed to crash out at the end of a busy days walking and it really was comfortable. Beautiful bathroom facilities with a big stand alone bath for a good soak before settling down in front of the awesome log burner for a film on Netflix before settling down for the night. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a stay in this area. Big shout out to Matt and Hazel for providing a top class and enjoyable stay, will definitely be coming again.

Superb accommodation perfect location for visiting the Lake District and Scotland. This cosy Cumbrian cottage certainly lives up to it's name you feel at home as soon as you walk through the front door into the lounge and spy the log burner complete with split logs and kindling and it's also ready made up for you to just light on your first night where you can settle down to a movie on Netflix which is available free of charge or play one of the board games provided. The super hosts Matt and Hazel certainly know how to welcome their guests the kitchen is stocked ready with fresh coffee, tea, instant coffee, sugar, pasta etc. We were further pleasantly surprised to find a few tasty treats in the fridge too, fresh bacon, sausage, eggs, milk and a bottle of Prosecco, WOW! The kitchen is fully equipped and has been refurbished to a high standard in keeping with the rest of this fantastic accommodation. The bedroom with King size bed was extremely comfortable and welcoming after a day's hiking and exploring. The bathroom complete with separate shower cubicle also has a beautiful stand alone bath perfect for a soak after a day's sightseeing. Free parking is available outside the property and there are plenty of amenities in the village of Longtown. I highly recommend this accommodation it was one of the most comfortable and welcoming breaks I've had in the UK.
