Eltandia Hall Care Home

The staff really do consistently try hard to support my long distance relationship with my mother. Arranging video calls, confirming receipt of items I have sent her. This all may sound little, but it means the world to me.

My mother has been at Eltandia since December 2010. The care she has received has always been appropriate to her level of need. In the early days my mother was encouraged to help others more needy than herself and as her dementia increased, so too did the care and attention that she received. The staff have always looked after her with dignity and respect and as a long term resident she has a place in all the staffs' hearts.

I love eltandia hall because my mother who suffers with Dementia lives at eltandia. She is looked after on ivy unit by professional carers who mum responds to. She is happy.

The food is t great and for lunch and supper food is put in front of you and it's only after you've seen it that you might try and get something different but that's still not great, the catering department never seem to have the basics available I had to buy 6 jars if powdered sweetener to try and tide them over that was about 6 weeks ago they still haven't got any in. We have had a new resident arrive 3 weeks ago who us noisy disruptive and violent the residents have complained constantly but nothing has ever been done the staff claim to have had enough of him but still they do nothing he attention seeks deliberately, exposes himself, shouts 24/7 disterbing all of us after getting nowhere in desparate I called the police to remove him which they should of done as the staff are full of talk and no action about the situation the person that's a major trouble maker is also violent and I don't feel safe and not dies any of the residents. We must be protected and he has to leave and to be placed in a high security place nit here
