I must say, I went today for the first time after finally growing fed up with Specsavers. Stephen Taylor Opticians are absolutely fantastic. Bullet points below. 1) Every staff member had a mask on and seemed very sensible throughout. The spacing in the shop was brilliant. Overall, I'd say a very minimal chance you'd catch Covid here (01/07/22). 2) This wasn't the typical rushed Specsavers-type experience, but actually staff who seemed like they cared, and made sure that everything was right. This is especially important to me as somebody recently diagnosed with Marfan's Syndrome. It was Karen doing the eye testing today. She was really, really friendly, patient and highly competent. 3) The next stage is usually a trained monkey/sales person that is pushing and pushing for purchases, but not here. There was no pressure to buy on the day. I didn't catch his name, but the staff member was youngish, had black glasses on, and he was brilliant, and again, really patient. He really knew his stuff about all of the glasses types and so on. I can't think of any negatives at all. A really positive experience. Me and my partner will be going here for many years to come now I imagine. I even recommended them to my mum today too.

By far the best options I have visited. They will spend as much time as needed to make sure everything is correct and you are happy. No hesitations in recommending them.

I've been going to Stephen Taylor's opticians since I was 5 years old, and they have never let me down in 23 years. The staff are very professional, they never rush me, and are happy to hear and answer many a question no matter how small. I no longer live in the area, but I still travel here for appointments, because i always received an excellent service. Thank You!

I cant praise them enough. Both my kids go here for eye tests and glasses, they are superb, patient and very very helpful. Glasses are always ready promptly. I really wouldn't go anywhere else
