We have been to two other aqua sana on spa breaks - Sherwood Forest and Woburn. We booked a break here last minute for our anniversary. This was by far the most expensive package yet, however unlike the spa suites you don't get a massage included with the spa apartment. Firstly, the front of house staff and the cafe staff were all lovely. The park itself is lovely however unlike the other breaks you don't get to park at your accomodation. Things that spoiled it for us: 1. There were far too many people for it to feel relaxing, large groups and rooms full so when you were trying to relax the door was continually being opened. It made it impossible to fully switch off. And people talking very loudly or on their phones. 2. No slippers given usually at the start of the break for spa break guests - staff did provided when stating how silly it wss to only get access to them from 4pm that day. 3. Staff in the spa non existent just standing at the back of the pool talking. Whilst there was lots of surface water everywhere which is usually being swept away continously elsewhere. 4. Broken things - shower, water bed and the fire in the snug. There was no sign for the last so when asked why it wasn't on I just got a shrug and 'it must be broken' 5. Unlike the other two spas no station with clean dry towels / robes. To get these you had to go bsck through the cafe and changing rooms. This little touch makes a huge different 6. This has to be one of the main things, in all other spas in the nest, relaxation rooms etc there is a basket of clean blankets and a basket for dirty blankets. Here the only blankets were the ones out. Meaning others hsd used - very unhygienic and due to everyone being in the pool showers etc. These were sodden making it uncomfortable to get comfy. The accommodation was the worst of all the aqua sana we have been to. The bed was on wheels moved and creaked when you moved. No plugs by the bed. This is a massive no no. Who wants to walk across the room to get their alarm in the morning? Overall as I stated we paid the most for this break and was severely underwhelmed. The amount of people made my partner have an anxiety attack and just wasn't the vibe we were hoping for especially for the price.
