As a tenant My experience with them has been painful and frustrating. When the contract started the employee from Sidcup branch was at best unhelpful regarding contracts and caused unnecessary delays and friction between the landlord and tenant. When the rental contract ended the organisation acts with no urgency in returning the deposit or even answering the calls or emails. All of a sudden there is only one person who can process the end of contract to return deposit and they are on "holiday". During the contract they had absolutely 0 interest in attending to any essential repairs that were needed.

Village Estates did a great job in selling our home, picking up a value over our asking price. They were fast and professional. They also were very helpful and patient while we sought our onward purchase, and once found did a great job in managing the chain we entered into. They were always there to pick up the phone, Del in particular was great at handling any dramas we had around completing amongst the chain which did indeed turn out quite turbulent. Very happy with the service and would recommend Village Estates. I'm deducting a star because I did find VE a bit cheeky in the T&Cs around their fees. When our house was initially valued by the branch manager, he clearly explained the fees which included a provision for photos/floorplan/EPC which would need to be paid upfront but would be deducted from our final fee on completion. Fast forward 6 months to completion, turns out in the negotiations that ensued regarding fees, this deduction was forgotten about and not written into our contract (completely unbeknown to us), so all along we were expecting this 100+ upfront fee to be deducted, but it never was. Bit cheeky, if you ask me. Nevermind.

I chose Village Estates to sell my Sidcup home as I liked their Point Of Sale style and when initially dealing with them I was very happy with the representative who visited . Once commissioned they were able to arrange a very well attended Open Day which led to a quick offer of purchase. I was very happy with my subsequent dealings with the Sidcup Team and overall I was very pleased with my decision to use them.
