Interesting geology with arched whale back layers of iron rich limestone, shale and sandstone forced up by the whin sill dolerite...and boulder strewn beach with rock pools. Interesting views at the top of the National Trust owned cliff towards the Howick estate and North towards Dunstanburgh castle.

Fantastic views, and when calm a chance to see dolphin. Fairly easy ten minute walk from road.

Brilliant if you are a fisherman and the fish are actually there. Otherwise a nice walk and great views.
