Great website to get bare root hedge plants delivered to your door. I have also collected from the premises a few times.

Useless company. Ordered over a month ago, still no delivery. They don't answer the phone or emails. I've now missed the bear roots season. Complete time wasters and now I have to start proceedings to recover my money as it would be easier to get a reply from the Queen than these cowboys. Edit to reply I have finally spoken to Lorraine. Told some of my order not in stock. I asked for potential substitution due to poor communication only to be told payment now expired and to just order again at full price even though half of what you order may not be in stock despite what website says. Was offered potted for same price as bare root out of stock for one tree which seemed fair but not when I dont even know what I can order anymore or whats in stock. Plus now I have to pay potted prices as I have basically been told to re order. Take notice of your recent reviews, they all say the same thing. You can make good poor communication by working with customers and offering solutions and discounts to compensate.

Very poor service/dried up bare roots. Customer Service non existent for complaints, either by email or phone. I ordered and collected 20 native bare root tree whips in person on 7 January, and when they were handed over in a black plastic bag I took them out and was absolutely dismayed when I saw that all their fibrous roots were completely dried out. I had to ask the girl to get some damp paper to wrap round them to try to prevent further damage on the journey home. These fibrous roots should NEVER be allowed to dry out completely before planting, or during planting and The Tree Shop of all people should know that. When I got home I immediately emailed the Tree Shop to complain about the dried up roots and that they would probably die, as a result and attached a photo I had taken of them when the girl handed them over in the car park. No response. So I emailed them twice again on 16 January. I had potted up these dried up whips immediately I got home and we took them up to Cumbria and planted them, but I could see that the tops of quite a few of the whips were already dying back. I had asked in my email on 7 January if they would supply me with replacements before we travelled 200 miles to Cumbria to plant them for a Countryside Stewardship prescription, as I did not want to have to go all the way back up to Cumbria next autumn to have to dig them up when they almost certainly would all have died by the Spring, but again, absolutely no response. So, my advice, if you want some healthy tree whips which are not compromised by being let to dry out after being dug up, and thus failing, buy them somewhere else ! Service: Tree planting
