Mottram Wood - Pub & Carvery

Come down to Hattersley once a month for work and stay in the attached hotel and eat here in Mottram Wood. Staff are always friendly and cheery, but most of all very helpful - whenever you ask for something, they insist on bringing it to you so you are able to sit at your table without hunting around. From experience elsewhere, I find this unusual at a chain pub but very welcome. Food is your usual pub fare but has always been good quality and filling. Some of my colleagues stay nearer to Manchester when travelling but I've come here every time as there's no reason to go elsewhere. Oh, and there's 10% off drinks when there's sport on - just download the season ticket app.

Visited approx 8 years ago, wasnt too good then but things change, no not this place,went for birthday celebration had to send 1 meal back swimming in grease, the carvery looked nice but what put me off was small kids passing and helping themselves!?! Mind you the staff were all sat together including kitchen staff, only moving as and when they needed to NEVER AGAIN
