        I came through Longborough when I cycled to Longborough Opera. I had planned to stop at the village shop and caf for refreshments. The lady who runs the shop was very welcoming and made me a nice tuna salad for lunch (which was not even on the menu). She offers also Sandwiches, baguettes etc. and coffee/teas. I enjoyed sitting in the shade of the lovely back garden, but there are also tables out front and inside in case of bad weather. The shop has a very good selection of products incl. fresh veg and fruit (The nectarine I had was delicious.). Ideal for the locals to pick something up quickly. The village shop and caf is an lovely place to have breakfast/lunch or just a nice cuppa and a cake.
