Trust on Tap are a joy. Inevitably I was calling on them in times of crisis. The phone is answered by real people, who know who they are talking about, who act swiftly to supply assistance and are compassionate. I was speedily sent a list of possible carers for my mother. The carers we have used have been excellent, skilled, compassionate and responsible. All the finances are dealt with efficiently as well. Whenever I have had a query I have been dealt with by their staff in a friendly and caring manner. They really live up to their name in every way.

I have worked in care for 21 years and through TrustOnTap for over 3 years. I choose the clients I want to help, at the times and locations that suit me. All the visits are a minimum of an hour. I am well paid and I'm self-employed ( I have to do a tax return once a year, this takes me about 40 minutes to complete ). I can book holiday when it suits me. The office staff are always friendly and helpful.

What a relief to find such a caring team of people who really understand your needs at such an emotional and difficult time. They found a carer within a few hours to help with my 93 year old mother and my life changed for the better overnight! I cant recommend them highly enough. One reliable carer who my mother now knows and trusts is a different world from not knowing who might be coming through the door at an approximate time. Thank you TrustonTap - you are wonderful!

Worse experience with a company that supply private carers ever. After my Mum fell very ill and got out of hospital I called this company to provide care for as soon ASAP as I could not do the level of care my Mum needed. This was a big step as my Mum struggles massively with new people but I was at breaking point and we needed the help. Initially Emily offered me such hope and soon enough I had a carer ready to do the up coming weekend. Then I struggle to get hold of the carer who had said she was free to do it. When I finally did she said oh sorry I work Saturdays I can only do Sunday This wouldnt work as my Mum wouldnt cope with different people on 2 days. I put this down as a blip and Emily reassured me they would get someone who could do both days. Great I thought... A carer replied to the request and said she could do Saturday/Sunday.. After many attempts to get hold of this said carer she did not reply. Despite saying she was free anytime to discuss the care my Mum required. Calls made, messages left and didnt hear back from her, this was on the Friday. Ok I thought, Im sure everything would be ok so I made sure I was there to meet her and had written out the care plan for her. She was suppose to come at 10am! I waited until 10.30 and was getting worried so I phoned the emergency number for Trust on Tap. Polly answered was polite enough but said basically there was nothing she could do other than email the carer and leave messages. In the mean time my Mum had geared herself up for it and was now in a severe anxious state. I had planned some rest bite but due to the carer not turning up I had to cancel this. While I appreciate it wasnt Trust on Taps full responsibility as the carers are self employed. I strongly recommend that you check and check the people you are shipping the care to are reliable. This has been an awful experience for my Mum and myself. I was in crisis still am and I felt so let down. To add insult I got a reply from said carer on the Sunday breezily saying oh sorry I didnt know the time I had sent her emails and left her messages to call me. I hope this is a one off but from my experience I would not recommend this company. An apology letter from Tap on Trust may of been an idea on the Monday morning as I made it very clear how desperate I was for this rest bite. I was looking for care for my very vulnerable Mum that was promised and payment details given. It has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and many others I have told about this experience The one star is only so I could post this!
