The Bancroft

Our dear friend is a resident .We could not wish for a more suitable place .The manager and staff go above and beyond for the care and well being of everyone. The welcome and hospitality is second to none .I would not hesitate to recommend this as an outstanding place of care.I am a retired Community /Practice Sister and have experience of working with clients and have observed different levels of care in my daily work .Update 25 November 2020 .Our friend continues to receive exemplary care from everyone at The Bancroft. In an unprecedented time it is a marvellous achievement. I thank everyone involved. Special thanks to the Manager Helen.Never appears too busy to discuss our friend and give reassurance. Very caring, very kind when my mother was there for a short stay. Traditional style of care home, not a modern shiny corporate place, so not intimidating for new residents, everything kept very clean. Building has evolved over the years to it's current form, so wheelchair access for visitors is a bit limited, but the staff are very wiling to work round the limits of the building and the inside is fine for access.
