Amazing last minute chocolate cake. Just happened to be passing the bakery on Friday night and bumped into the boss man, got chatting and got one of the best chocolate cakes I've ever had made for the next morning. I couldn't recommend them more!

As a regular visitor to Long Melford to do recreations at Kentwell Hall, Tanswell's is often first port of call for me in sourcing a few creature comforts for a weekend's camping (coffee, croissants, sausage rolls, pastries) not to mention birthday cake for my other half which is always first class.

A great place to stop for coffee, tea and hot chocolate with one or two of the varieties of cake on sale at this bakery. Lovely bread rolls and loaves and friendly service.
