        I was met with a limp handshake and not a single pleasantry after I cheerily introduced myself following a long day on the Pennine Way. I was shown to my room which consisted of Wendy pointing up the stairs to the right. I dropped my bag in the room and checked the bathroom out and noticed there was a couple of sheets left on the toilet roll and no replacements so went back downstairs to ask Wendy for more. I was given a couple of new rolls for the room but no apologies were given. Later in the evening I went to make myself a coffee and noticed there was no milk so again I had to go and ask Wendy for this and was duly supplied with milk and no apologies...how hard can this be! Breakfast the next morning was ok but could hear Wendy muttering under her breath and sighing at regular intervals. My stay really did feel LIKE AN INCONVENIENCE!
