        Long Buckby train station is in a rural area where there are no bus facilities nearby or a proper waiting area. I was heading towards Northampton. Unfortunately, the train couldnt stop in my station and had to leave at Long Buckby station. It was totally unexpected. But, I couldnt find bus service nearby.

        Absolute pig of a station if youre cycling from here or a wheelchair user. Theres a weirdly large drop from the train to the platform - so youre advised to jump off first and then turn and grab your bike or bags. It would be impossible to get off if using a wheelchair. Then theres a long steep narrow staircase down to the main road. Theres no lift. Weirdly Daventry has no train station and this station in the middle of nowhere is as close as you can get (6 miles). Long Buckby wharf on the Grand Union canal is nearby and quite pretty.
