I inherited an antique chair from my grandmother. It was an unusual shape, and desperately in need of reupholstering - the fabric was falling apart and the webbing was rotten. I called George for a quote. He asked me to email some photos, and gave me a quote in return. When I took the chair to him, he found some braid in his workshop which exactly matched the green in my fabric, and said it would take about two weeks. He called me only three days later to say it was ready to collect. He had done a beautiful job on it. The back is curved and upholstered front and back, and to add to the challenge, the top rail dips in the middle. George said he'd never seen another like it, but he handled all the problems expertly, and even waxed the frame for me. I am thilled with the result. It is lovely to sit on (approved by my cat!), and looks amazing. I would highly recommend George for any upholstery work.

George recently re-upholstered our 8 dining chairs to a very high standard. He recommended a suitable fabric which he had in stock, and completed the work within a week. We are extremely pleased with his professionalism.

The shop has closed down. The owner had a workshop at home, & was well stocked.
