Fantastic morning learning how to cook chinese food with the brilliant and passionate Regan at The Cooking Shed. Fantastic setting, lovely and easy to follow recipes with enough for dinner and lunch the next day! We did the Parent & children cookery course and it was so great to work alongside my little man with such fabulous results at the end. Highly recommended!

I've had such a fun and informative weekend in the Cooking Shed and highly recommend it to everyone! Saturday was 1 chicken 3 meals. The class started with teaching us some knife skills (essential lessons that I should probably already know, but didn't!). Next was learning to properly butcher a whole chicken into drumsticks, thighs, breasts and wings and how to use the carcass for a stock. In the class we made a Thai chicken noodle soup, Spanish chicken (chorizo, paella rice) and chicken chapattis. All the food was delicious and I learned lots of helpful hints and tips as we went along. Sunday was the bread masterclass. I learned about the different types of bread and yeast and now understand more about what bread causes bloating and what to avoid. In this class we made a sour dough loaf, focaccia (my fave!) and pizza dough. We were also shown a really delicious tomato pizza base recipe using fresh herbs from Regan's garden. The class itself is informal and relaxed, which I think helps you to learn and allows you to ask Questions as you go along. Regan is really friendly and helpful and makes the lessons fun and interesting. I will definitely be making all the recipes again and will always buy my chicken whole from now on. Thanks so much Regan & The Cooking Shed xxx
