Rose Cafe does what is says in the tin - no frills, reasonably priced, comfort food. Located between the 02 shopping centre and Finchley Road + Frognal station it is a great early morning breakfast stop with doors opening at 6.30AM. The interior is large but dim, for the exception of a table next to a large window. The menu is fairly standard to most most British cafes - breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, omelettes, jacket potatoes. The health breakfast (6.90) - two poached eggs on one brown toast, halloumi, avocado and mushrooms - was freshly cooked with a reasonable portion size. Run by a Portuguese family, the service is warm and friendly.

Lovely little old caff with a charming interior, tasty, affordable food and a quiet and communal atmosphere. Breakfasts arent greasy or heavy and the ability to customise them is much appreciated. The fresh orange juice is made to order and delicious. Highly recommend stopping in!
