Since the new management took over this is a good local pub. Good selection of beers in nice surroundings with friendly staff

In the heart of Orpington town, A pub of old repute wears its crown, The Maxwell, an inn of great delight, Has been transformed, a wondrous sight. From days of yore, its walls did crumble, Yet patrons still, in droves would stumble, To sip a pint or share a tale, Within this tavern, now reborn and hale. The bogs retiled, a gleaming scene, A testament to wealth and sheen, Yet in this grand and stately space, A small dilemma they did face. With funds depleted, corners cut, The Maxwell's purse, now tightly shut, No bleach blocks for the urinals found, A humbling scent did then abound. But in this pub, we raise a cheer, For change and progress, far and near, With liquid gold in glasses clink, We'll not let odors make us shrink. So gather 'round, dear friends, and toast, To Maxwell's pub, our humble host, Through gleaming tiles and scents untamed, Its refurbished soul, now proudly claimed.
