Refuses to ever get anything done , lets you live with mould and damaged walls, locks that dont work, falling off door knobs, for 6+ months. Staff say they will get something sorted then it never does. Highly highly do not recommend! The girls in repairs say they will call to check things to try and sort and the chances of getting a call back are slim to none! Do your self a favour and do not use hamways.

We rented with Hamways for over two years and felt very supported by the whole team. From the first meeting they were very friendly and informative, throughout they were quick to respond to queries, and if we had any issues they were resolved in good time and to a high standard. All the contractors we have encountered have been great too! Highly recommend anyone looking to rent to check them out!

Having rented with Hamways and had good experience, I used to recommend them to everyone I knew who were looking to rent. I could not speak highly of them enough. We even went back to them after we rented elsewhere. Anyway, fast forward to late October this year and severe weather caused significant damage to our roof, allowing water to flood the property and cut off all the electrics.... my family, along with eight other homes, were evacuated. Initially, the external block managers- who are not part of Hamways- told us we could return after a week, it turned out it would be nearly a year. Except, they haven't even got contractors in! In that time, more damage was done to the roof therefore our ceiling and property. The skirting was coming away from the floor and the front door frame had warped. Our items are still in the property but we have been told not to enter the property, allowing all our items to become mouldy. We have six young children and have been good tenants. When they had vacant properties that they could have offered us, they left us to stay at budget hotels completely destroying any form of stability. In fact, one kind lady suggested one property, but was only shut down as it was "out of our budget"... where are the ethics of knowing that a family has already lost their things, their comfort and now home? Everyone knows rent is extortionate these days, but it is meant to come with security. Seeing the terrible morals of Hamways, we turned to the borough, but they had no options for us. I sit here now in one bedroom with my children sleeping and my relative's house, because the hotels were getting too expensive for our family (not to mention the crazy expenses of not having a a kitchen to cook in) and sadly my mental health at a low. Don't be fooled by their nicely-decorated houses. You want more than an agency that only care about themselves. May noone find themselves in this situation. Vulnerable and homeless, through no fault of their own.
