Old Lodge Lane Post Office

Post office does not accept parcels Thursday- Sunday. Why bother opening if you won't do something basic like accept mail?

The service at this post office was abysmal. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have recently been bereaved and I needed to collect a parcel sent to my dead relative. I took all the relevant paperwork with me, had notification on my Royal Mail that the item was at my chosen destination with even a proof of delivery. On arrival I was told the item wasnt there. When I explained the situation over my relative there was no empathy or compassion shown and told me to look at another post office. I went to Purley post office where, whilst the parcel was not there, they showed compassion and wonderful service, telling me that the item was at old lodge lane post office. When I returned there, no apology, still adamant that it was not there until lo and behold it was found!! Very poor experience. .

Staying local and needed a card and stamp. Bought a sandwich, water and milk while there. Didn't look at best before dates. The sandwich was stale and the milk was 2 days out of date and was curdled.

Unable to accept parcels because "scanner not working".

Very friendly, courteous & polite staff who make you feel welcome to shop locally & a great range of fresh as well as long-lasting consumeries. It's great that there's a post office now too!
