Derek did the photographs for our wedding. He took photographs from the bride, bridesmaids, groom and best man getting ready in the morning to the ceremony itself through to formal family and friends shots afterwards and photos right into the evening. Derek was not intrusive or bossy but got natural shots of every aspect of our special day. He was attentive to what we wanted and was patient when dealing with the family and friend shots. The care and work ethic he showed during and after our wedding day shows his passion for photography and the resulting photographs prove it.

I work as a Drama facilitator with children and young people and have had Derek come and do the photos both beforehand in rehearsals and during live shows. Derek understood what I wanted and got on with it, all with a big smile. He is excellent in communication and professionalism and manages to capture moments perfectly (when working with some pretty tricky moments/ set-ups/ subjects!). The final shots are treasured by me and parents alike and will be for years to come. Would highly recommend him to anyone whether it be for professional or private use (he also shot our wedding!) for any occasion.

We cannot recommend Derek highly enough. We first used Derek when he took our wedding photos 4 years ago. Finding the right person is so stressful but as soon as we booked with Derek we knew we had made the right decision. People are always commenting on our beautiful photos. Since then we have used Derek for our sons Christening and his 1st birthday cake smash shoot. Derek comes to your home and spends as long as it takes to get the perfect pictures of your child. His relaxed yet professional approach meant he was a pleasure to have around at our events and celebrations. The results are excellent- we are thrilled with the photos and are already booking our next shoot.

Derek has taken photographs of our son on two occasions and both were fantastic! Derek first took photographs of our little boy at his Christening when he was four months old and was extremely patient working with such a small child. He arrived at the house an hour before the Christening to take portrait photographs and then took more photos during the christening. It was fantastic to have such a professional photographer capture this special day. When our son turned one, Derek photographed our walk around the park. Once again he captured beautiful moments of our little boy with his nana, grandad, aunt, uncle, mum and dad. Derek made us all feel so at ease that we forgot we were even having our pictures taken and above all, had so much fun! Derek is a fantastic photographer who goes above and beyond to ensure your special moments are captured exactly as you wish.
