I was referred to Westchem Pharmacy by my doctor's surgery to book a 24 hour blood pressure monitoring test. The service I received was exemplary. I was lucky they had a monitor available so it was fitted on the same day of my referral and returned the following day. Jas, the Pharmacist Manager, was extremely helpful and explained everything clearly so I was well informed of my results. This is a great service and I will definitely be using this pharmacy again with any other medical needs like travel vaccinations.

Excellent service from Westchem for ambulatory blood pressure monitoring. Well worth trying for an accurate assessment of your blood pressure. You wear a cuff on your arm and the monitor on a belt round your waist for 24 hours, even when you are sleeping. It feels strange at first but you soon get used to it. You can place the monitor on your bedside table to sleep, and also have a quick shower in between readings. When you return to Westchem the next day you are given the full printout of your readings, with an average score. Highly recommend.

Excellent service as always. Recommend going for NHS BP check if you fit the criteria. Much faster and more convenient than trying to book through busy GP surgery. Thank you!

I went to this Chemist with a form from Boots requiring an emergency supply of tablets for my heart as they did not have stock. The pharmacist was quite rude looked at the form and he did not have any, no further advice was offered. I went to another chemist and unfortunately it was closed. I returned to West Chem and asked when would he be getting new supplies he then advised me he could not supply me with the Boots paperwork he needed a prescription. Pressed on when he would be getting supplies he stated he could not get that strength tablet. It was obvious he did not want to help me. I returned to Boots who were most helpful and explained the situation they pointed out the paperwork was valid and if they were available they should have been available under NHS rules. Most rude and unhelpful probably because I was not a regular customer or I caught him on a bad day. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I must point out the review above was posted two years ago long before the new owners took over. I have used them since they took over and find them extremely helpful. In fact I was one of the first to use the newly built consulting room to have my covid jab. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a personal professional service. I hope this corrects the original posting made whilst under different management.
