Pedler Good Fortune

Its taken me a while to do this but when I first reached the restaurant, everything was fine. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It was my first time there. As the food was brought out for my friend and I, two things occurred. We very clearly explained she had food allergies and she was brought a dish that did. It adhere to this- very dangerous. The dish was replaced and then I later spotted a massive hair in my dish- I wanted to be sick. After the food allergy mistake and massive hair issue in my plate, the energy of the staff changed- they were no longer attentive or friendly and were distant and despondent or (maybe stoic is a better word to use) to any communication from us- none the less, the shift in behaviour was very vast from what we entered to and actually made us even want to give this place ago. Were we offered anything discounted or free- no. Instead I was charged full price for my long grey haired meal and my friend was charged for her attempted murder starter. Was disappointing but the most disappointing thing was THEIR reaction when we were the ones who were given the poor food- it was just sprinkled with poor service on top.

We had high hopes for this after the exceptional morning glory dish that was brought out first but unfortunately it really disappointed. The crab salad was bland and the short rib was surprisingly tough. This was a disappointment given so many other positive reviews, however I'm sure this was just a one-off!
