My mother's appointment got cancelled this morning 2 hours before the actual appointment. They called once and did not bother to leave a voicemail. This appointment was booked a month ago. The reason was the optician was "off sick" and that there is no one else was available. The trainee we spoke to would not let us speak to the manager or move us to any other opticians. We have been with this opticians for decades and the service has declined drastically. Unprofessional, incompetent, unorganised and discourteous staff. Avoid. Do not recommend. I wish I could give zero stars.

Prices at boots are much higher than Specsaver. The scan of eyes at Boots is 25 while Specsaver charges you just 10. I made a mistake that I didnt cancel my appointment.

AVOID THIS PLACE FOR YOUR EYE SAFETY! I had eye test with a lovely Greek optician who has now retired. I received poor service from reception girl Moniza (short with pale skin dark hair) who did not give my prescription but disappeared and came back with a made up makeshift prescription with a unknown opticians signature who did not test me. When ordering glasses she tampered and fiddled the system manually intentionally entering wrong prescription numbers against what the optician prescribed and ordered two pairs of glasses from which I endured severe headaches from. I went to a different independent optician who checked with a microscope and they found Moniza from Boots Opticians gave me too high strength glasses with lens 4 steps higher than they should be despite my eyesight prescription barely changing over the years. I went back to Boots and complained and got my refund. Moniza tried to blame it on someone at the end of the chain who make the glasses. An optician there pressured I get re-tested and stay with them and asked me to sign a statement handwritten (so they could cover up)- I refused and cancelled my account. Even my contact lenses which I requested a refund for which they held unnecessarily to check were tampered and returned unsealed opened. The useless store manager didnt do anything. Immature front desk girls gossip and mock other patients.

Been using Boots Opticians in Colindale for the last few years, and the service has always been good! This morning I popped in with a few queries regarding buying some transition lenses & a replacement lens for an old pair. I was helped by Aileen, who was so polite, engaging and helpful that I had to write this review. I'm not sure if this will get back to her but I just wanted to say thanks for an easy and smooth experience! I look forward to receiving my new glasses!

I've been coming here for over 10years, and have always been happy with purchasing glasses and lenses. However, today I felt the quality of the place has dropped, was told I'd get a call-back yesterday with no follow-up which I had to chase myself this morning, and the staff member (Eileen) had not only forgotten the phone-call, but didn't display a professional manner over the phone and came across quite informal and rude(which is odd as one thing I loved about this place was the welcoming and friendliness of staff). The lady i spoke to before Eileen took over was great and I wish I'd grabbed her name to mention here positively. May relocate to Brent Cross branch, shame about bad experience from the worker.
