The main owner of the store is extremely obnoxious and rude. He seems to look down on fellow ethnic minorities including disabled people. The first time I went there with my son he talk down to me as if to think he is the only educated person to be born. I went there with my youngest son who is disabled with life limiting illness and is in palliative care he gave me so much attitude about not being able to use my prescription from the ophthalmology service. It was such hard work me getting there that my son goes to a specialist school and he had missed a day off school. I was so calm and polite even with my soon being distressed. I had a week before prescription ran out and he kept claiming its invalid yet when I took it specsavers they apologised and said they will take the prescription. The rude man had the audacity to turn around to his colleagues and said to ignore me and my child whilst another colleague tried to support me. I can tell his colleagues felt embarrassed but clearly they were scared of the dictator. I have made a formal complaint to NHS. This man should not work with people if he doesnt not have any people skills.

I wanted to find an optician local to me and I found an absolute gem in this place! Super friendly welcome from the front desk on arrival and the optician herself was equally super nice and friendly. I received an excellently thorough and professional eye test, very high-tech! I recommend this place 100%. It has a beautifully neighbourly yet professional approach to customer service. Forget Specsavers - you best yourself down to Watney Eye Care!
